Police investigate pedestrian accident that injured midd

The Champaign police department is currently investigating an accident that involved a 7th-grade pedestrian and a vehicle.

According to officials, the accident occurred at 3:03 p.m. on Monday when the student entered the intersection of Spring Avenue and Prairie Street around a stopped middle school bus and was struck by a Jeep Cherokee. Police are still looking into the details of the accident, but the boy was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
