An Illinois-based company has announced the voluntary recall of salmon due to Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled products are packets of sliced salmon with the recall date of Dec. 15, 2011. The purchase got onto the market on July 25 and was sold in Publix, Mejier, Winn-Dixie and Safeway stores in Alabama, Georgia, Colorado, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Idaho.
