Female motorcyclist killed in Romeoville accident

A female motorcycle operator recently died from injuries after she became involved in an accident in the province of Romeoville, the Chicago Tribune reported on May 19.

Reports said motorcycle driver Pamela Jimenez, 58, succumbed to her injuries on May 18 after her motorcycle was crashed into by a vehicle driven by 82-year-old Helen Anderson. The accident reportedly happened at around 1:55 p.m. on Weber Road near Grand Boulevard. Anderson was also transported to the Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital hospital due to minor injuries she sustained from the crash. She has since been released.

Police Commander John Ferdinardo reported that a citation was given to Anderson after she failed to yield while making a left turn. Authorities are still investigating the fatal motorcycle accident. The results of their investigation may determine whether Anderson will receive additional charges.
