Car crash in Iroquois County injures two

According to state police, two people were injured in a car accident in rural Iroquois County on Saturday morning.

The accident occurred as a 63-year-old man was driving on U.S. 24 just west of Iroquois County Road 2820 East when he got into the path of a Ford F-150. The two cars collided sending both drivers to the hospital.

One driver was reported in fair condition after the accident and the condition of the other man is unknown. The 63-year-old man was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
