Birth control pills involved in large recall

Nearly one million birth control packages have been recalled after it was found that an error in packaging could result in the inadequate dose of the oral contraceptives and increase the chance of pregnancy.

The recall affects the Lo/Ovral-28 tablets and its generic forms that have an expiration date between July 31, 2013 and March 14, 2014. According to a spokesperson for the company, the issue has been corrected and was caused by an error in packaging and inspection.
