Medical malpractice lawsuit filed against doctor and hospital in Chicago
A doctor and a medical center in Chicago are facing a medical malpractice lawsuit after a patient claimed his surgeon permanently damaged his right ankle after a surgical procedure in 2013, a report of Cook County Record stated on May 24.
Reports state that Asante Pearce claimed that on November 17, 2013, he had his right ankle permanently damaged after Doctor Daniel Ivankovich improperly conducted his surgery. In December 2014, Pearce was required to undergo another surgery to fix the damage to his ankle. Jackson Park Hospital, where Pearce initially underwent surgery, is also facing a lawsuit due to allegations of failing to provide necessary medical care. A compensation of over $50,000 is being sought by Pearce from Dr. Ivankovich and the hospital facility.
