Statewide speed-camera bill proposed in Illionois

On February 27, Illinois State Representative Jay Hoffman presented a bill that would  implement the speed-camera law across the entire state of Illinois.

According to Hoffman, the bill would make speed-camera legal across Illinois. The current speed-camera law is only applied in large metropolis areas that have at least 1 million inhabitants.

Traffic violations detected by the cameras can result in large fines. Revenue gathered from speeding tickets are used to improve road construction and safety. City officials and safety advocates have been arguing over the proposed bill.

Speeding vehicles can be extremely dangerous to others on the roadway. If you have been injured because of a negligent driver you could be entitled to compensation.
