Five people hurt in 3-vehicle accident
At least five people were injured in a three-vehicle accident near Carbondale, a report from kfvs12.com stated on Sunday, November 17. Illinois State Police said the accident happened on Friday, November 15 at around 5 p.m. when a vehicle that failed to slow down at a stop sign collided with a vehicle, which in turn hit another vehicle on IL Route 13 at Spillway Road.
The five people injured in the accident included two children, two women, and a man. All were hospitalized due to the injuries they sustained in the crash. The driver of the vehicle who caused the crash was cited for failing to slow down to avoid an accident and another person was cited for not wearing a seat belt.
