Six injured in three-car accident on I-74
Six people were taken to the hospital as a result of a three-car accident on I-74 in Vermilion.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, a 23-year-old woman was driving east down the roadway when she ran over tire debris that caused her to lose control of her vehicle.
She then crossed the center line of the roadway and collided with a westbound car. This car then began to spin out of control and struck another vehicle. The driver of the first two cars and the four passengers that were in the second car were all transported to Carle Foundation Hospital as a result of the crash.
