A small Illinois town had an Ef4 tornado strike the area and six people were killed as a result. The rating given to this tornado is the second-highest rating that can be given to a twister and scientists determine this by the amount of damage that occurs.
The twister was 200 yards wide and had winds of up to 170 mph. Another twister struck Branson, Mo, which is a popular tourist site because of the country music scene. The famous theater in the city stated that it received serious damage as a result of the twister.
